As the winter storm approached, Gov. Ron DeSantis placed the emergency order into effect this week.
The National Weather Service has confirmed this was a record-setting storm.
The NWS said Milton, Florida, received 9.8 inches of snow.
The old snowfall record was 4 inches in Milton in 1954.

Other areas that received inches of snow include Milino, with 9.5 inches; Pensacola Beach, with 7.5 inches; and Crestview, with 5.5 inches.
DeSantis is warning people in North Florida to use extra caution on the roadways.
“If you’re used to driving in Florida, it is different,” DeSantis said. “When you do the brakes, there’s all these things. You could skid, you could slide. So please be very, very careful, and if you don’t need to be out, just stay in.”
DeSantis urged people in places like the panhandle to stay off the road.
