BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. — A surfer had to be pulled from a Brevard County beach Saturday afternoon, deputies said.
Channel 9 learned the surfer, who was only identified as a male adult, was pulled out of the water in the Indiatlantic near the Crown Plaza Melbourne Oceanfront on North A1A about 4 p.m.
Officials with Brevard County Fire Rescue said bystanders found him in the water and dragged the man to shore.
The victim was rushed to Holmes Regional Hospital in critical condition.
