Surveillance images of suspect in Orlando Publix shooting released

ORLANDO, Fla. — Orlando police released surveillance images from inside a Publix grocery store where a teenager was shot Friday.

The shooting happened at the Publix at Americana Boulevard and John Young Parkway.

The surveillance images show the teenage suspect and an accomplice walking through the store around the time of the shooting.

According to investigators, the shooting stemmed from an argument between the group of teens near the bakery. The victim, 18-year-old Anthony Manso, was shot in the neck during a struggle, police said.

“It’s almost unbelievable that something like this would happen in the middle of the day, inside where people were shopping, a day after Christmas,” said Lt. David Arenas of the Orlando Police Department.

The victim was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center in stable condition.

Word quickly spread about the incident and people who regularly shop at the Publix were shocked.

"It was scary," said shopper Seta Mangali. "It's a terrible situation."

Police released the photos hoping that someone will recognize the men and contact the Orlando Police Department.
