Tip leads to arrest of alleged Osceola County bank robber

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. — Deputies in Osceola County told Eyewitness News they've arrested the man who robbed a bank in Poinciana last Friday.

According to investigators, Aaron Carter, implied he had a gun when he walked into the Centerstate Bank on Cypress Parkway.

Carter handed the teller a note that demanded cash and the 41-year-old fled through the bank's parking lot, deputies said.

The sheriff's office said a viewer who saw the bank robbery on the local news called in a tip identifying Carter.

The Haines City man was arrested Wednesday and deputies said he was uncooperative.

Carter was charged with robbery with a firearm, aggravated assault and grand theft. He was booked into the Osceola County Jail and is being held on no bond.
