Titusville woman, 63, killed in crash with bus, troopers say

BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. — A 63-year-old Titusville woman was killed Wednesday in a crash with a Space Coast Area Transit bus in the area of U.S. 1 and McArthur Court, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Vella Quist was driving a 2003 Hyundai on U.S. 1 at about 4 p.m. when she drove into the back of a bus, which had stopped to pick up passengers, troopers said.

Initally, Quist was walking around at the scene but suffered a "medical episode," a Florida Highway Patrol crash report said.

She was taken to the hospital where she died, investigators said.

No one was reported to have been injured on the bus.

No other information was immediately released.
