ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — WFTV has investigated tow truck company owner John Warrington for years for towing violations, and now, he is in trouble with the law again.
His latest arrest was on charges of felony scheme to defraud and grand theft.
Warrington's mug shots date all the way back to the '80s.
According to reports, once he was charged for hiding a car he towed.
Nicole Joseph, whose car was towed by Warrington, said, "I hope that justice is served and he gets what he has coming to him."
In 2009, police were investigating a man who flagged people into a private lot with a "no parking" sign covered up, and while the car owners were at Magic games, their cars were towed.
Warrington told WFTV he helped police catch the parking attendant.
"People assume it's a big plot between us or any company and the person that's parking them, and it is not. We don't condone it," said Warrington in a 2009 interview.
This time around, investigators said Warrington advertised a tow truck on Craig'slist and then kept down payments from two customers, totaling $20,000 and never delivered the tow truck.
