SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. — Power was restored at about 7:15 a.m. Thursday following an outage that affected traffic lights throughout Seminole County, especially in the Winter Springs and Casselberry area, according to the sheriff's office and Duke Energy officials.
Officials said there were about 1,600 customers without power.
One of the biggest intersections affected was Tuskawilla Road at Red Bug Lake Road, deputies said.
Officials said that deputies were placed at each intersection.
A Duke Energy spokeswoman told WFTV a "bad cable" was the cause of the outage, and it has been replaced.
