The University of Central Florida has suspended travel to and study abroad programs in China for the rest of the spring semester, interim President Thad Seymour tweeted Wednesday afternoon.
“While no cases have been reported at UCF or in Florida, we have initiated communication, coordination and planning using updated guidance from our state and federal health partners,” the university wrote in a news release.

The decision was made to keep in line with the Center for Disease Control’s recommendation to avoid nonessential travel to China, Seymour said.
