VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. — Deputies are searching for a convicted felon who failed to return to prison Friday while out on work release, the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office said.

Gary Bullock, Jr., 24, left the Tomoka Correctional Institution's Daytona Beach work-release center Friday morning to report to his job at the El Caribe Resort & Conference Center in Daytona Beach Shores, said Gary Davidson, a Sheriff's Office spokesman.

Bullock cut off his ankle monitor Friday afternoon and tossed it in the hotel's parking lot as his girlfriend, Natasha Quigley, 24, picked him up from work, Davidson said.

"The Sheriff’s Office was notified at about 3 p.m. on Friday, after state corrections officials received an alert that Bullock’s GPS monitor had been removed," Davidson said. "Investigators also discovered that before leaving, Quigley stole money, blank checks and a gun from her parents’ home in Palm Coast."

Deputies believe the couple is on the run with a three-year-old child, Davidson said.

The boy's father, William Quigley, said he's in the process of divorcing his wife Natasha.

"I was supposed to have my son for the weekend," William Quigley said. "But she cancelled because he was sick, and I guess this was her plan."

Bullock began an 8-year prison sentence six years ago for multiple felony offenses, including robbery, grand theft, burglary and possession of a controlled substance

The couple is believed to be traveling in Quigley’s white, 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt with a Florida tag EUJ L31.

Bullock is 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs about 173 pounds. He has brown hair, brown eyes and a tattooed right arm.

Quigley is 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs about 175 pounds. She has brown hair and blue eyes.

If he's captured, Bullock will be charged with escape, destruction of an electronic monitor and criminal mischief.

Anyone who spots the couple or has information on their whereabouts is asked to immediately asked to call 911.
