ORLANDO, Fla. — Exclusive video obtained by Channel 9 shows the moments leading up to a deadly crash on International Drive as the surviving victim’s family now faces the devastating task of telling her that her fiancé was killed.
The video, shared with Channel 9 by the victims’ family, was recorded on Snapchat from inside the pickup truck driven by 19-year-old Christopher Laureda.

The Florida Highway Patrol confirmed the video shows the truck running a red light at Central Florida Parkway and International Drive moments before the crash.
In the recording, a passenger can be heard saying, “No, he’s not going to do it again,” as the truck approaches the intersection. The video ends just before the collision.
Investigators said Laureda’s Ford F-250 struck a Volkswagen Jetta carrying 29-year-old Nealson Carrasquillo and his 23-year-old fiancée, Julissa Velazquez. The pickup overturned in the crash.
Carrasquillo was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
Survivor wakes with no memory of crash
Velazquez survived but suffered serious injuries, including broken ribs and fractures to her spine and shoulder, according to her family.
She was placed in an induced coma as doctors treated her injuries.
Her mother, Jessica Fuentes, told Channel 9 that Velazquez has now awakened — but does not remember the crash or know that Carrasquillo died.
“All she said was, ‘What happened? What happened?’” Fuentes said.
Her family is now struggling with how to tell her what happened to her fiancé.
“How do you explain to someone something like this? It’s just horrible,” Fuentes said.

Family reacts to video from inside truck
Fuentes also watched the Snapchat video obtained by Channel 9 and questioned why the situation was apparently treated lightly by people inside the truck.
“Who does that? I don’t understand how that could be a joke,” Fuentes said. “You have passengers. You’re passing red lights in Florida.”
FHP said Laureda left the crash scene on foot before deputies detained him a short time later.
He faces charges of DUI involving death and leaving the scene of a crash and is scheduled to be arraigned Friday.
The Florida Highway Patrol continues to investigate. Additional charges could be filed.
