Volusia County Parks and Recreation organizing winter break camp for kids

VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. — Volusia County’s Parks, Recreation, and Culture Division is organizing a winter break camp for local kids between the ages of 5 and 12 years old.

The camp will be offered from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, December 17 through January 3 with no camp on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.

Participation costs $100 per child. Registration starts at 9 a.m. Saturday, December 4.

The camp will take place at Gemini Springs Park in DeBary

Kids will have the opportunity to enjoy supervised activities, indoor and outdoor games, field trips, and arts and crafts.

The field trips include visits to the Freedom Playground and the Central Florida Zoo.

Five-year-old kids must have completed kindergarten to participate.
