VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. — The Volusia Couty Sheriff’s Office arrests a Deltona Middle School student for making a bomb threat on a school bus in Deltona.

Volusia Couty Sheriff’s Office said the juvenile made a verbal threat on a school bus Friday morning.

According to deputies, the student stood up on the bus and claimed another student had a bomb in his backpack.

The bus was stopped, searched, and the kid was taken into custody. No signs of any device or weapon were found, according to deputies.

The student responsible is facing criminal charges for false reporting and campus disruption, according to the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office.
