‘I’ll blast you’: Teens arrested after pulling gun on DeLand skating rink employee, deputies say

DELAND, Fla. — Volusia County deputies have arrested two teenagers after the youths pulled a gun on someone at a skating rink.

Deputies said the boys were with a group of kids outside a place called The Rink in DeLand on Friday night.

Investigators said an employee was closing the business around 11:15 p.m. and asked the kids to leave.

That was when deputies said a 14-year-old pulled out a gun and threatened to shoot the employee, saying “I’ll blast you.”

Deputies said a 15-year-old also handled the gun, which was stolen from Marion County.

Both teens were transported to the Department of Juvenile Justice.
