Track along with K-9 Red as he locates an aggravated assault/battery suspect hiding in a tree

VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. — Volusia County deputies K-9 assisted in responding to an aggravated battery incident off Collins Road where a woman reported her boyfriend hit her, pointed a gun at her and struck her in the head with the reel end of a fishing pole.

The suspect was not on the scene when deputies arrived but they tracked him down, hiding in a tree.

The suspect, Henry Purdue, was charged with aggravated assault and battery with a deadly weapon, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and grand theft firearm.

He is in the Volusia County Branch Jail as of this post with a bond of $40,000.
