The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office said Heritage Middle School has been cleared. No weapons were found and no one was injured, deputies said.

Deputies responded to Heritage Middle School Friday morning after reports of a suspicious call.

Volusia Schools later said that deputies received a tip there someone possibly brought a weapon on campus, which prompted a school lockdown.

There have not been any reports of injuries, according to the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff Mike Chitwood later reported that there was no shooting or reports of shots fired.
