Woman claims $2 million after purchasing scratch-off ticket at Edgewater Publix

EDGEWATER, Fla. — An Edgewater woman has won big after she picked up a scratch-off lottery ticket at an area Publix.

The Florida Lottery announced Joyce Klarberg claimed the first $2 millions top prize from the next 100X Scratch-Off game.

Klarberg chose to receive her winnings in a one-time, lump sum payment at Florida Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee. Her winnings came to $1.6 million after taxes.

The Publix location, located in the 2900 block of South Ridgewood Avenue, will receive a $4,000 bonus commission for selling the winning ticket.
