DeSantis announces funding for Osceola County, Valencia College for manufacturing

KISSIMMEE, Fla. — Gov. Ron DeSantis was in Kissimmee on Wednesday morning to announce millions of dollars in funding to fuel the manufacturing industry in Osceola County.

DeSantis presented $6 million to Osceola County to create manufacturing jobs and $3.7 million to Valencia College for training people to fill those jobs.

He said the money will go toward manufacturing semiconductors.

DeSantis was joined by Florida Department of Economic Opportunity Secretary Dane Eagle.
