Pedestrian killed in crash on S.R. 528

BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. — A pedestrian was killed in a crash on State Road 528 between Cocoa and Merritt Island late Monday.

The westbound lanes of State Road 528 were shut down for hours.


The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene and the driver of the vehicle is cooperating with the investigation.

All westbound traffic was being re-routed to State Road 3 on the Merritt Island side.
