ORLANDO, Fla. — An Orlando man was arrested Tuesday on charges of aggravated battery on a pregnant woman and bigamy, authorities said.
Investigators said Raul Alicea was arguing with his pregnant wife in their home about his previous sexual arrangements with transgenders and women from adult websites that Raul had met. His wife had also received an envelope addressed to her with divorce papers by a woman she did not know.
Inside the envelope was a final judgment of dissolution of marriage certificate completed by a judge with her signature and court stamp, authorities said.
Investigators said Alicea had recently gotten a divorce with the woman who sent the papers.
Orlando police said when his pregnant wife showed him the divorce papers and Alicea “pushed and pulled” her body several times up against a door and wall inside their home. Alicea then packed up a bag and left their home, police said.
Authorities said they found Alicea at his job and arrested him. He did not want to write a statement at the jail.
