ORLANDO, Fla. — A woman was found dead Thursday evening after being hit by multiple vehicles on Interstate 4 near downtown Orlando, causing eastbound lanes to be closed for more than 12 hours.
Police said several people called 911 at about 11:30 p.m. to report that vehicles were hitting a body in the eastbound lanes of I-4 near the South Orange Blossom Trail exit.
Investigators said they discovered the body of Teqilla Shepherd, 39, and her damaged vehicle on the exit ramp.
“At this time, we have more questions than answers,” a police spokesman said.
Police ask that anyone who drove through the area with a dashcam or anyone who might know of whom Shepherd was with before she died to call them or Crimeline at 800-423-8477.
