Woman loses control of car, strikes metal pole after fleeing from another crash, troopers say

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. — A woman has died after losing control of her car and crashing into a metal pole. Her death came after she had fled the scene of another crash, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Just after 1 a.m., troopers said a 24-year-old Kissimmee woman was driving at a high speed on Old Lake Wilson and Spine Road when she lost control of her car and struck a metal pole.

Officials said she died at the scene.

Before the crash, troopers said the driver had just been involved in another crash at Old Lake Wilson and Sinclair Road.

They said the woman fled the scene.

There were no injuries in the first crash.

Both crashes remain under investigation.
