LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. — Runners wanting to race amid some Disney magic next spring will have the opportunity to sign up this week.

Walt Disney World announced Monday that registration for runDisney Springtime Surprise Weekend, set for April, opens at 10 a.m. Tuesday. Race weekend begins April 13.

The theme for race weekend is Pixar, and runners will feel its magic along courses inspired by some of the studio’s most inspired characters from classics such as “Cars,” “Monsters Inc.” and “Toy Story.”
Next spring’s race lineup includes:
- April 13: runDisney Springtime Surprise Yoga, happening for the first time at Disney’s Hollywood Studios
- April 14: Disney Pixar Cars 5K
- April 15: Disney Pixar Monsters 10K
- April 16: Disney Pixar Toy Story 10-Miler

Runners can also test their stamina by participating in all three races, totaling 19.3 miles. Those who participate in all races will earn three individual race medals, plus a special “Finding Nemo”-themed medal.
Registration for virtual races open on Friday.
