New Orlando Magic GM fires several scouting staff members

ORLANDO, Fla. — The Orlando Magic's new general manager Rob Hennigan has only been on the job for four days, but is already shaking up the front office staff.

He's fired six members of the team's scouting staff and longtime assistant general manager Dave Twardzik.

Hennigan was introduced as the team's new GM on Thursday, but is clearly ready to point the team in a new direction.

Twardzik was in charge of the team's draft preparation efforts and could stay on with the team through Thursday's NBA draft.

The only scouting staff member who will remain with the Magic is scouting coordinator Brian Wright.
