The application portal for individual and family assistance offered through the Federal CARES Act was closed last month after more than 50,000 requests were made on the first day.

The application portal was closed by 8:10 a.m., only ten minutes after it reopened Monday.
Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings said it may be the last time the portal was able to open.

Orange CARES for Residents applicants: If you have a confirmation number & have NOT received any e-mail correspondence back before July 13, DO NOT re-apply. If you re-apply, that will count as a duplication & disqualify you from funding. CARES is still reviewing all applicants.
