Predators Sign 5-Year Lease With Amway Center

None — The Predators released the following statement.

The Orlando Predators are proud to announce the signing of their new five year lease to play on Driver's Mart Field at the brand-new Amway Center, beginning with the 2011 season.

"We wanted to make a strong commitment to our fans and our partners by being the first professional sports franchise to lower ticket prices entering a new venue" said Bouchy. "This lease ensures that there is going to be Arena Football in Orlando for years to come. We are doing this as a way to thank our fans and still offer high quality amenities and a playoff caliber team year in and year out."

After several months of negotiating by Predators Managing Partner Brett Bouchy and COO Darrell Harbin, the Predators have signed a five year lease with the City of Orlando for access to the new Amway Center, opening in October.

"We can't wait to have the Orlando Predators play their 20th anniversary season in the new Amway Center," said Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer. "The experience will be like no other at the new Center with its state-of-the-art amenities for Predators fans."

"We are very excited to have reached a five year term in the new arena," said Bouchy . "This will give our fans something to look forward to. This agreement truly makes the Amway Center an events center for the entire Central Florida community. None of this would have been possible without the important contributions of my ownership partners, including Central Florida businessmen, Peter DiPasqua and Bob Gries."

Entering the Amway Center marks a brand new era for the Predators who celebrate their twentieth anniversary this upcoming season. Included in the lease is a new field for the Predators with a new name, Driver's Mart Field. State-of-the-art locker rooms which belong exclusively to the Predators have also been added to the arena layout. The Predators will also have use of all of the new LED signage, hundreds of programmable flat-screen televisions, the largest video scoreboard in Arena Football, and numerous other amenities at the new arena including club seating and luxury suites.

The five year lease signifies a lengthy commitment to the Arena Football League and to the City of Orlando. The Predators have already begun negotiations and are among the finalists to host ArenaBowl XXIIII next August as the crown jewel of the AFL's plan to make the ArenaBowl a neutral site event.

Season tickets are now on sale. Packages start at just $45.
