SANFORD, Fla. — A new boat is will head to Seminole County to replace the old Rivership Romance.
The boat, a staple in Sanford for more than 25 years, was retired last year.
Now new owners are getting a new boat which will also be put in Lake Monroe.
Some people said they were pleased because the boat had a special place in their history.
"Oh that would be great because then it will be here for my 25th wedding anniversary which will be next year, and I will go back on it," said Sanford resident Kaye Warner.
City officials and business owners expect the boat to bring more tourists to Sanford.
The boat may not make it to Sanford before September because the boat is coming from Clearwater.
