Suicide Note, Autopsy Details Released In I-4 Murder

VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. — A Seminole County man was officially charged Wednesday for a murder on I-4 in Volusia County. Deputies said Tuesday that 44-year-old Christopher Jodon chased his girlfriend down the interstate, crashed into her SUV and then stabbed her to death.

A newly-released 911 call (hear it) may reveal more information about what led to the fatal violence.

The sheriff's office told WFTV that Jodon is at Halifax Medical Center with a jail guard outside his door. A judge came to the hospital Wednesday afternoon to conduct his official first court appearance.

It's clear from the suicide note Jodon left (details in affidavit), he never intended to live past Tuesday morning.

It was not the intentional crash on I-4 (see images) that killed 44-year-old Jackie Miller. An autopsy Wednesday determined it was two stab wounds to her chest and a cut to the throat from a hunting knife that ended her life. Jodon then stabbed himself in the chest with the same knife, investigators said.

A 911 call made from his Seminole County home reveals more about what led to the murder.

"It looked like he was going to get some time in jail for domestic violence and I think that may have just, he's reached his limit with everything," the caller told the 911 dispatcher.

Jodon was facing battery charges for beating up Miller just weeks ago. Reports say he told her, "I should kill you and just get it over with."

Tuesday morning, Jodon sent an email from home telling his mother to come over as soon as possible.

"When I got on my computer this morning, there was an email from him at 6:00am saying, ‘Come here ASAP,'" Jodon's mother told the dispatcher.

When she got there, she found a note.

"His relationship split up weeks ago and she filed charges and, from what his note says, he says he's going to go after that person to take her with him," she told the dispatcher.

Jodon wrote that he "could not face life anymore," but that he would take "one piece of scum out before he went." He quoted the Billy Joel song, "Only The Good Die Young," and what he called his "favorite" by Guns N Roses, "I Used To Love Her, But I Had To Kill Her."

Jackie Miller was still living in the Sanford area. Her new roommate said the last time he saw her was about 5:30 in the morning Tuesday; she was leaving for school. That was about a half-hour before Jodon is accused of running her off the road.
