DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — Maybe it was subconscious karma when two suspects were arrested and charged with burglarizing a car after they accidentally called 911 during the incident Sunday afternoon.
Police released the 911 call to WFTV on Tuesday afternoon (hear it) .
"You gotta break that SIM card. Take that SIM card outta there. They can trace it," one of the suspects said during the call.

Stephanie Vargas, butt dialing 911 022310 Stephanie Vargas 911 dispatchers listened while the two suspects, identified by police as 19-year-old Stefanie Vargas and 13-year-old Kristian Amezquita, discussed the difference between items that were worth taking and items that should be left behind as they rummaged through the vehicle.
Neither Vargas nor Amezquita knew that Daytona Beach Police Department units were on their way to arrest them. Officers quickly moved into the area on Glenview Avenue and arrested the two suspects, who were in a white Chevy Malibu. Police said property believed to have been stolen was still in their possession.
Vargas and Amezquita, both of Palm Coast, were each charged with one count of burglary of a conveyance. Amezquita was released to a parent, but Vargas was held on $5,000 bond.
