CRYSTAL RIVER, Fla. — A good Samaritan helped the U.S. Coast Guard rescue five people who abandoned their fishing boat after it caught fire Saturday.
Five people jumped onto a raft to escape the flames on their 74-foot fishing boat about 16 miles off the coast of Crystal River, Florida.
The people climbed aboard the fishing boat "Double D," which took them to the Suwannee Marina, officials said.
