Good Samaritan helps Coast Guard rescue 5 people from burning boat
A 74-foot fishing boat caught on fire. Fire of the people on board were rescued by a good Samaritan and the Coast Guard.

CRYSTAL RIVER, Fla. — A good Samaritan helped the U.S. Coast Guard rescue five people who abandoned their fishing boat after it caught fire Saturday.

Five people jumped onto a raft to escape the flames on their 74-foot fishing boat about 16 miles off the coast of Crystal River, Florida.

The people climbed aboard the fishing boat "Double D," which took them to the Suwannee Marina, officials said.

All five people who abandoned the boat were uninjured.
