DAWSON COUNTY, Ga. — A 14-year-old girl has been charged with felony murder and aggravated assault in connection with the fatal stabbing of an 11-year-old boy in Georgia, authorities said.
According to WSB-TV and the Dawson County News, the incident occurred about 5 p.m. Saturday at a Dawson County home. Although emergency crews tried to save the boy, who had been stabbed multiple times, he died from his wounds, the news outlets reported.
Dawson County sheriff’s deputies arrested a teenage girl, whose name and relationship to the victim were not released, in connection with the death, authorities said.
Multiple agencies, including the Dawson County Sheriff’s Office, Georgia Bureau of Investigation and Dawson County District Attorney’s Office, continue to investigate the case, the Dawson County News reported.
