Some fans were surprised when Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine appeared to show off a new tattoo on his face Tuesday.
A black rose extended along the left side of his face from his temple down to his cheekbone in a picture that appeared on his wife, Behati Prinsloo’s, Instagram Stories, Billboard reported.
But don’t worry – there’s been no permanent change to his face. Levine appeared in his own Instagram Stories to say in a message for his mother that those who know him well know he is “too vain” to ever do anything permanent to his face, E! Online reported.
The rose was likely a nod to the rose-hued tequila Levine and Prinsloo launched earlier this year, Calirosa, which appeared in videos and pictures alongside the couple and the new “tattoo.”
Levine is known for his tattoos. In addition to two full sleeves on his arms, he recently added a butterfly on his neck, as well as a Japanese-inspired design on his right leg, People Magazine reported.
