According to WJZ-TV, the incident, which was captured on camera, happened shortly before 7 p.m. in Parkville's Loch Raven Village neighborhood, Baltimore County police said. Police arrived and interviewed the driver, who admitted to throwing the boxes into a sewer because he was angry and wanted to stop working for the day, WMAR-TV reported.
Police did not arrest the driver, a temporary employee, but are continuing to investigate the case, according to the news outlets.
Amazon issued a statement saying it has "high standards for delivery service partners and expect every package to be handled with care," the outlets reported.
"We've notified the right teams internally and will work with the customers directly on matters related to their package delivery," the statement read.
