R!B!G! So humbled to create this public art piece honoring the life and legacy of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg. She has paved the way for modern day women’s rights in this country through much trial and tribulation. She is an icon of elegance, grace, power and leadership. I created her portrait on panels that were adhered to the brick wall. This way, I could take my time on it and paint on a flat surface as opposed to the rough masonry! It’s more time and labor this way — but I think it’s worth it 🙌🏻 Thank you @flock_dc for the commission and working with me on the vision. Thanks @jordanhamlettsanders for all the hammer drilling and NICK for everything else. Shout out to local Channel 9 news who came up on the lift with me to get the right shot 😅 This piece is sending healing and healthy vibes to Justice Ginsberg to live a LONG AND HEALTHY LIFE !!!! She is more needed than ever. Check her out at 1508 U st NW. First photo is by @housethacker #acreativedc #murals #ruthbaderginsburg #rbg #dedicatedtodc
