FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. — A Georgia man was charged with murder and aggravated assault after attacking his parents, police said.
The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office told WSB-TV that its deputies were called for reports of a stabbing on the evening of Jan. 8. When they arrived, deputies found a man and a woman who had been stabbed.
The male victim, identified as John Boswell, 65, died at the scene, WSB-TV reported.
The woman, whose name was not released, was taken to a hospital where she was last listed in serious condition.
Deputies said the victims were attacked by their son, Catlin Boswell, 36, who ran away before they arrived at the scene, WSB-TV reported.
“The fact that a son could take the life of his own father and try to do the same of his mother is beyond comprehension,” Sheriff Ron Freeman told WSB-TV.
Detectives were able to determine what car Boswell was driving and took him into custody, according to WSB-TV.
Boswell was held without bail at the Forsyth County Jail, according to jail records.
