A 32-year-old woman went overboard from a cruise ship Wednesday afternoon in the Gulf of Mexico, the U.S. Coast Guard said.
The woman was reported missing from the Carnival Valor about 150 away from the Southwest Pass at the mouth of the Mississippi River, NOLA.com reported.
According to Coast Guard Petty Officer Gabriel Wisdom, the passenger went overboard at about 2:28 p.m. CST, the news outlet reported.

The ship left from Cozumel, Mexico on Tuesday, WVUE-TV reported. The ship is expected to dock in New Orleans on Thursday morning, according to the television station.
Officials did not immediately release additional details.
