FedEx driver saves child after car crash

A FedEx driver did more than deliver packages recently. He saved a child’s life.

Damien Rose was coming to the end of his shift when he chanced upon a car crash, WCSC reported.

“I just happened to see smoke coming from out of the distance and saw the two cars and was like automatically I knew it was an accident,” Rose said, according to WYFF.

He got his delivery truck on the median, threw it in park and ran to help.

Good thing he did.

There was a child trapped in the wreckage.

Rose was able to pull a door open and scoop up the child from the car seat, getting him to safety.

He also tried to save a woman who was trapped in a second car but was unable to because of the damage her car had sustained, WCSC reported.

Rose then stuck around with the families of both cars until emergency crews arrived at the scene.

“Hopefully blessings come back. It always comes back. I never trip about things like that,” Rose said, according to WYFF.
