NASHVILLE — A former Tennessee Titans cheerleader who was injured in a crash earlier this month in Nashville has died from his injuries.
Patrick Holz, 24, was leaving work Oct. 3 when a Ford Explorer hit his Jeep, sending both vehicles onto the right shoulder of the interstate, WKRN reported.
Holz, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was thrown from the Jeep. He was taken to a hospital in critical condition, where his arm had to be amputated. He also tested positive for the coronavirus, so visitors were not allowed into his room, WKRN reported.
He died Wednesday.
A crowd-sourced fund was set up to help his family.
So heartbreaking. Prayers for his family and friends 😭💔 A former Tennessee Titans cheerleader critically injured in a crash earlier this month in downtown Nashville has died from his injuries. https://t.co/dgtQiJ4zuN
