Man allegedly boarded up house, held mother, wife, children captive in Georgia

BARROW COUNTY, Ga. — A man allegedly boarded up his house to keep his mother, wife and children captive in Barrow County, Georgia.

According to WSB-TV, the Barrow County Sheriff’s Office said Thomas Brantley boarded up the doors and windows of his house to allegedly keep his mother, four children and his wife inside.

WSB-TV reported that BCSO said that Brantley’s wife and children escaped from a back window. His wife was then able to call 911.

Brantley was arrested. According to WSB-TV, BCSO did not provide information about how long the family was held captive in the house or a possible motive.

BCSO said that Brantley was charged with false imprisonment, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug-related objects, cruelty to children, reckless conduct, reckless household and exploitation as well as intimidation of disabled adults, according to WSB-TV.
