WAVERLY, Tenn. — Band students in Waverly, TN were surprised with a donation of instruments worth $100,000, as reported by The Tennessean.
Country star Vince Gill worked with KHS America, a musical instrument distributor, to get the donation to The Waverly Central High School and Junior High School band programs.
In August, Waverly was hit with devastating and deadly flooding. These instruments are meant to replace the ones destroyed by water.
Gill talked to the students, according to WSMV, telling them about losing his own guitar in 2010 in a Nashville flood.
