LOS ANGELES — One person was arrested and faces charges after police found what they described as an “elaborate” drug lab underground containing ecstasy, date rape drugs, hash oil and magic mushrooms.
A spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department shared photos of the drug lab on Twitter, which show a ladder leading down into a hidden room.

LAPD officers told KCBS that the hole was approximately 12 feet deep.
Investigators said that neighbors were suspicious about activity at the house, and police returned with a search warrant and discovered the underground operation after first finding a marijuana growing operation on the property, KABC reported.
Officers seized eight handguns, four rifles and two shotguns in addition to approximately eight pounds of methamphetamine, eight liters of GHP, three pounds of cannabis, 25 DMT pills, two ounces of fentanyl and one ounce of heroin, KTTV reported.
Casey Linder, a resident of the home, was arrested and charged with manufacture of controlled substances, KCBS reported.
Investigators told KTTV the bunker was working as a DMT and THC extraction lab.
