Public memorial for Lisa Marie Presley planned for next weekend at Graceland

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A public memorial for Lisa Marie Presley is planned for Sunday at Graceland.

A representative for Presley’s daughter, Riley Keough, said the memorial will be on Jan. 22 at 9 a.m. on the front lawn of Graceland, according to The Associated Press.

Graceland, which belonged to Presley’s father, Elvis Presley, is in Memphis, Tennessee.

Lisa Marie Presley, Elvis’ only child and a singer-songwriter dedicated to her father’s legacy, died Thursday after being hospitalized for a medical emergency. She was 54.

It was announced on Friday that Presley would be buried at Graceland next to her son, Benjamin Keough, who died in 2020. Her father and other members of the Presley family are also buried on the grounds, according to t he AP.

Presley was the sole heir of the Elvis Presley Trust and Elvis Presley Enterprises, according to the AP. She managed Graceland as well as other assets until she sold her majority interest in 2005. She retained ownership of Graceland itself.

Presley is survived by her mother, Priscilla Presley, and her three children, according to the AP.
