TORONTO — A speeding driver was surprised he was stopped Saturday going 115 mph because he did not think the highway had a speed limit, officers said.
The Ontario Provincial Police said a 33-year-old driver was pulled over after zooming past two officers on Highway 401, the Ottawa Citizen reported.
“There is no speed limit on the 401,” the driver told officers, investigators said.
Officers told the driver the speed limit is 100 kph or about 62 mph. They cited the driver for stunt driving, impounded the car for seven days and suspended his license.
