ORLANDO, Fla. — The University of Central Florida has announced that the Beta Lambda chapter of Delta Delta Delta Sorority, or Tri-Delta, has been placed on probation as a result of an incident that occurred in April.
According to the incident report, members of Tri-Delta rented out rooms at the Embassy Suites Downtown Orlando, but told Embassy Suites staff that they were members of a girls' Irish Dance group.
The report says underage drinking occurred around the pool area and in hotel rooms, that members of a fraternity streaked through the hotel and were removed from the property, and that the group "continued with poor behavior well into the evening."
"We are pleased that Delta Delta Delta has accepted responsibility for the inappropriate behavior of its members at a spring formal," said Chad Binette, UCF News & Information Associate Director. "We are hopeful that the sorority will successfully complete the terms of its probation and that Delta Delta Delta members will live up to the high standards of conduct that we expect from all of our students.”
