EUSTIS, Fla. — The body of a woman was found Friday morning in a Eustis motel room.
Police believe she may have been murdered.
On Friday night, police identified the victim as Kimmy Sue Edwards, who lived and worked at the Cara Mar Motel in Eustis.
The manager of the motel discovered Edwards on Friday morning after Edwards missed her morning shift and the manager went to check on her.
Police say the body was hidden in the room, but they won't say where.
Police have named Elford Joseph, 49, as a person of interest in the case.
Investigators say Joseph and Edwards had been dating.
Police are also looking for Joseph after they say he was involved in an early-morning carjacking in Eustis on Friday, where he allegedly implied he had a gun.
Joseph was last seen driving a stolen 2005 Ford Escape with the Florida license plate 854WMZ.
Investigators are not saying whether they believe Edwards was killed before or after the carjacking.
