TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — The Florida Department of Economic Opportunity says Governor Ron DeSantis has ordered them to continue waiving the work search and work registration requirements for unemployment assistance claims.
The requirements will continue to be waived through January 2, 2021.

The waiver on the waiting week requirement will also continue through December 26, 2020.
As of November 30, FLDEO says they’ve paid out nearly 20 billion dollars in unemployment assistance to more than 2 million claimants.
