If you need to stop and gas up, you’ll pay less than you did a week ago.
AAA said gas prices fell 8 cents over the past week in Florida, landing at an average of $3.48 per gallon on Sunday.

Monday’s data showed another penny drop.
The auto club did the math and found that since mid-April, a gallon of regular unleaded is down 25 cents.
And while filling up that 15-gallon tank will cost you about $52 if you’re running on fumes, consider this: one year ago, when gas averaged $4.49 per gallon, you would have paid an extra $15 to top off that same car.

The question that most folks have, especially as we approach the Memorial Day and Summer travel seasons, is whether or not the downward trend will continue.
The answer: It’s not clear yet.
AAA points to weakness in the oil market for the recent drop in gas prices.
“That weakness has been driven by domestic economic concerns. Underwhelming Chinese economic indicators have also created uncertainty about global fuel demand,” according to AAA’s Mark Jenkins.
