Henderson goes wire-to-wire to win LPGA Tournament of Champions

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Brooke Henderson went wire-to-wire at Lake Nona Golf & Country Club to win the 2023 Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions.

Henderson (-16) shot a final round 70 to wrap up her 13th career victory on the LPGA Tour.

“It is so exciting,” Henderson said. “I always try to win a couple times each year, so to get one right way out of the gate takes a little bit of pressure off. ... It’s exciting to be in contention, and even more exciting to hoist trophies.”

Henderson entered the week No. 7 in the world golf rankings and will have tons of buzz surrounding her game the rest of the season.

Maja Stark and Charley Hull finished 12-under, tied for second.

On the celebrity side, former tennis pro Mardy Finish won with a dominant Stableford score of 156 points.
