UCF loses Senior Day stunner to Navy

ORLANDO, Fla. -- As a 16.5-point favorite, UCF lost a Senior Day stunner to Navy 17-14 Saturday afternoon at the Bounce House.

With a win, the Knights could’ve locked up a spot in the American Athletic Conference title game, but they laid an egg against a 3-7 team. Navy won with 248 rushing yards and zero yards through the air. Navy scored a pair of first-half touchdowns and added a game-winning field goal in the third quarter.

Mikey Keene replaced John Rhys Plumlee in the second half and led the Knights on a game-tying touchdown drive, but he finished 8/15 for 123 yards and failed to provide a spark in the fourth quarter.

UCF could still play in the AAC title game, but they will have to travel if they earn a trip. The Knights (8-3, 5-2) visit USF Saturday in Tampa.
