BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. — A tractor-trailer carrying toilet paper caught fire early Friday in the southbound lanes of Interstate 95 near West Melbourne, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
The vehicle caught fire shortly before 6 a.m. near mile marker 180, south of West New Haven Avenue, Trooper Steven Montiero said.

The truck's driver, Ceasar Arvinger, 50, of Jacksonville, pulled over when he noticed smoke billowing up from the rear of the vehicle, Montiero said.
Arvinger was unable to put out the fire with an extinguisher, so troopers said he unhooked the truck from the trailer.

Investigators said the southbound lanes of the interstate were closed in the area while firefighters battled the flames.
