ORLANDO, Fla. — 5:30pm UPDATE:
After a cool weekend of weather our next cold front is already approaching.
The cold front is sweeping across Texas and will reach Central Florida in about 24 hours. As we await the front, our winds will turn from the south and Monday will get warmer with temperatures in the mid-80s.
Through Monday, a stray shower will be possible, with a much higher chance for rain as the front gets closer late in the day Monday. The highest chance of rain will be Monday evening and overnight, possibly even with some lightning, with any rain ending early Tuesday morning. The rain will be scattered, hitting some areas while missing others.
This will temporarily cool us off for a couple days, with even warmer weather by next weekend.
It is a cold start to Sunday for many across Central Florida with temperatures in 40s and 50s.
Winds will be breezy throughout the day with sunshine and daytime highs reaching the 70s in most areas.
A strong easterly breeze means we could see a few isolated showers at the coast, but it will remain mainly dry on Sunday.
Monday will see warmer temperatures with highs in the 80s. Our next front will arrive overnight Monday into early Tuesday.
